Testing and Manipulating Oxygen in Cricket Farm

In the process of setting up my farm.

I'm interested in any solutions to ensure proper air circulation and oxygen.

How do people measure it?

I'll be setup with typical bin farming and egg trays. I'll have screen lids and try to keep things loose inside the bins to allow for air movement.

Will rigging up a fan to bring in new air be enough?

Thanks in advance, Joe

  • Hi Joe,

You can messure the air quality with a CO2 meter. That tool will indicate the amount of PPM in the room. between 500 and 1200 ppm is ok. If it´s getting over 2000 ventilate more. Keep the air good circulated with fans and use an extractor on a regular base to refresh the air . Good luck!

  • Thanks!
