Today i was pretty suprised when i found a a centipede inside my woodlouse box. They have rotten wood inside their container, thats the only way the centipede could get inside with. When i collected the rotten wood, i put it in the freezer at around -21°C. Thought that would be enough but seems i was wrong. Or maybe i didnt put it long enough in there? How long and at what temperature do i need to put things inside the freezer to kill possible parasites? Anyone got some experience with that.
I was also planning to give my insects plants that i grow for them in my garden, drying them and then freezing or i put them directly in the freezer. If its not possible to kill potential parasites like that, then i have to think over it and do something else :/
