Prepping homegrown mealworms before eating

Hi, I am new to this whole process so I didn't purge my mealworms before freezing them. I do plan to boil them before cooking them to kill off any pathogens, but should I skip eating this batch since I did not purge them?

  • (they were eating wheat bran and celery and carrots before I harvested them and froze them)

  • @clararain - they're fine to eat without purging unless you're allergic to anything that might be in their gut. If you can't eat them, any neighborhood chickens or wild birds will be more than happy to help out.
